Repairing you VGA2USB device

A client had a "dead" VGA2USB-LR (v4) that had an expired warrenty.

He opend the device to find that one of the SMD components had been burned out.


The two "ferrite beads" are used to filter high frequent static from the DC power.

Replacing both with new ones solved the problem and the device works again.
